On the 13th and 14th of April 2025, Schwarzkopf Professional celebrated the future of hairdressing alongside a global community of passionate hair enthusiasts at the HAIR BY SCHWARZKOPF Festival.
The festival offered an inspirational platform for over 50 artists and more than 600 participants, gathered together from around the world to share in their passion for hair. Hosted at the iconic Motorwerk Berlin – a historic building constructed in 1921 that once produced electric motors – the venue’s raw industrial charm transformed into a vibrant hub of inspiration!
Celebrity stylist and Schwarzkopf Global Hair Colour Ambassador, Chris Appleton, headlined the festival – taking guests on a wild ride through his personal journey in the hair industry and revealing the highs, lows and unforgettable moments that shaped his professional path.
Tracey Cunningham (Schwarzkopf Professional U.S. Creative Director of Colour & Technique), and Jacob Schwarz (Schwarzkopf Professional U.S. Hair Colour Trend Ambassador), shared step-by-steps of their signature colour looks created for A-listers such as Margot Robbie, Khloé Kardashian and Emma Stone.
With seamless colour blends, contemporary cuts, and innovative styling, industry pioneers Lesley Jennison, Brendnetta Ashley, Patricia Nikole and SHY+FLO, to name just a few, showcased their signature techniques – including the standout salon services of 2025: Contrast Blonde, Curly Pop and Embrace Grey.
Photographer, publisher, and film director, Rankin, took guests on a journey through his remarkable career and the transformative power of hair in photography. Rankin was also part of the HAIR BY SCHWARZKOPFPRO collection show, which he shot live on stage!
The audience was transported into the mystical world of ancient Mexico by renowned artist Javier Romero – his bold, avant-garde hairstyles evoked the power, strength and beauty of Aztec warriors.
Combining glamour, elegance, coolness and featuring spectacular handcrafted hair ornaments, Shima unveiled the latest styles, sophisticated cutting techniques and innovative styling methods to emerge from Japan.
Renowned session stylist, Pablo Kuemin, and Schwarzkopf Professional Global Ambassador, Lesley Jennison, delivered a groundbreaking runway show featuring bold, standout wigs and vibrant, daring colour palettes.

Celebrity Stylist & Schwarzkopf Global Colour Ambassador
Guests learnt how to enhance curl patterns, perfect product layering and master protective styling as experts Reema Jaber and Brendnetta Ashley showcased advanced techniques for shaping and styling textured hair.
With a focus on mastering the art of event-ready hair, Andrea Hecker and Daniel Gryske demonstrated how to enhance dimension, create luminous shine and craft the perfect finish for red carpet, bridal and special occasion looks.
Guests were shown how to create show-stopping statements of subtle, customised enhancements from high-fashion editorials to wearable salon looks as Robin Lachance and Siobhan Haug unveiled cutting-edge techniques live on stage.
Visionary stylists, Dee Parker-Attwood and Pelsynera, took guests on a deep dive into how to draw inspiration from fashion, art and architecture to craft innovative, experimental looks.
Two extraordinary hairdressers, Tara Rose-Kidd and Daniel Granger, opened up about their own personal experiences around turning struggles into strength and pain into purpose, as well as how they built their own thriving businesses which they once thought was impossible.
This session, led by Arjan Bevers and Christos Michailidis, taught guests how to create powerful and versatile visual stories that highlight texture, volume and movement and create captivating content for hair competitions, awards and brand awareness.
Global Ambassador, Lesley Jennison, shared her expertise in wigs, wefts, lace fronts and fringe pieces. While session stylist, Pablo Kuemin, demonstrated techniques on how to streamline workflow, while maintaining artistry at its peak.
A range of our FOR EVERY YOU. Collection Artists took to the stage, giving guests the opportunity to gain insider techniques, master fearless creativity and take their artistry to the next level, as they crafted fashion-forward looks live on stage.
Textured Hair Experts, Roegshana Versfeld and Alexandra Santos, illustrated how to master customised colour placement and tailor to each client’s unique curl pattern and density, covering customisable cutting techniques and styling methods.
Guests were left inspired to create high-impact blonde results as blonding experts, Ian Mayer-Marszalek and Michelle Oliver, demonstrated topics including intentional foil placement, negative space and modern applications which add depth and stand out.
Colour experts, Kate Rawnsley and Constanze Grimm, taught guests how to create dimensional white hair that feels fresh, sophisticated and full of life. They also demonstrated how strategic colour placement can enhance different hair textures and how embracing grey refinement can elevate your salon.
