Led by duo Nick Irwin and Alex Sarghe, the shoot wouldn’t have been possible without the assistance of local hairdressers Pınar Eyinç, Hüseyin Çavdar and Çaglar Çiçek.
Marking the rich cultural heritage of Cappadocia in Turkey, this shoot celebrates the artistry and symbolism of Kırk Belik (the traditional “Forty Braids”). Collaborating with fashion designer Simay Bülbül and photographer Caner Demir, the concept reimagines this historic tradition, blending cultural depth with modern style.
A diverse cast of models, each with unique hair textures and styles, bring this story to life. The vision was to capture the romance of Cappadocia’s beautiful landscape, creating something that is both progressive and deeply rooted in cultural beauty. This collection not only showcases the hair but also the stories, cultural revolutions and artistic expressions that shaped each era. Join us on this sartorial journey through time and experience the rich tapestry of fashion’s past.
"This project is about more than just hair or fashion. It’s about storytelling through style – honouring tradition while pushing creative boundaries. Cappadocia gave us the perfect canvas to do just that."

"While working on this project, I realised that a truly professional backstage experience is not just about hair– it carries the intensity of being in a cinematic scene of a story."
