Six New Year’s Eve inspired looks, crafted by stylists from around the globe.
Ringing in the New Year is the perfect excuse to get glam. Whether heading to a party or enjoying a night in with friends, we’ve teamed up with Schwarzkopf Professional Educators from around the world to bring you six glamorous looks.
From elegant updos and bubble braids to bold, head-turning shades, there’s a style to suit every celebration…
1. Section the top of the head into two parts and create an underhand braid on each, securing with elastics.
2. Use OSiS Thrill as you go to add texture and tame any flyaways. Join the two braids together into one ponytail with an elastic.
3. Take a section of hair from beneath one of the braids and create an overhand braid, securing it with an elastic at the back of the head.
4. Add additional elastics about one inch apart down the remaining section, then gently pull between them to create a bubble braid effect.
5. Repeat steps 3-4 to create another braid on the opposite side of the hair.
6. Using a curling tong, create soft, textured waves with the remaining hair. Mist with OSiS Velvet to add light hold and natural shine.
1. Divide the hair into a middle parting, leaving two small face-framing sections at the front.
2. Take another small section from behind each face-framing piece and create micro-braids.
3. Now divide the top section of the hair into two equal parts, securing each with an elastic.
4. Using OSiS Flexwax as you go to add texture and hold, create 2-3 knots in each, pinning in place.
5. Mist the hair with OSiS Super Shield before using a flat iron to straighten the remaining hair.
1. Apply IGORA ROYAL 6-00 + 6-77 (20 Vol.) to the roots in fine sections to ensure even coverage.
2. While the roots process, tone mid-lengths to ends using IGORA VIBRANCE 9-7 + 7-77 (6 Vol.) to create a seamless blend.
3. Emulsify, rinse thoroughly and cleanse with FIBRE CLINIX Nourishing Shampoo.
4. Apply FIBRE CLINIX Treatment mixed with Vibrancy Booster and rinse.
5. Prep and style the hair using SESSION LABEL The Salt and The Mousse.
6. Achieve texture, volume and flexible hold with SESSION LABEL The Flexible.
1. Apply OSiS Dust It and OSiS Texture Craft for grip.
2. Part slightly off-centre and section off two front pieces.
3. Gather the rest of the hair into a low ponytail.
4. Divide ponytail into 2-3 sections, twisting each loosely and wrapping/pinning these around the base to form a bun.
5. Twist the front sections back over the bun and pin, leaving out a few soft strands around the face.
6. Finish with OSiS Elastic and tame flyaways with OSiS Thrill.
1. Apply The Mousse and The Miracle to damp hair. Blow-dry, then add The Salt for texture.
2. Use a small barrel curler to wave the whole head. Part slightly off-centre, take a 2–3 inch section and divide into a few strands.
3. Twist each section and coil/pin them flat against the head, arranging them into overlapping ‘petals’.
4. Soften remaining waves with fingers or a comb, and smooth with The Serum. Set the look with The Strong.
1. Apply The Mousse and The Miracle to damp hair. Blow-dry, then add The Salt for texture.
2. Create a centre part and use a small barrel curler to wave the whole head and soften with fingers or a comb. Smooth ends with The Serum.
3. Add beads to random small sections and to three face-framing strands, with the centre strand falling naturally over the forehead. Finish with The Strong.
