Step 1
Start by sectioning out the hair that you want to work with. Visualise where you want the lightened area using cut paper pieces.
Step 2
Start on one side: Taking fine slice sections, use Lightener 2 on the ends.
Step 3
When you reach the scalp area, apply Lightener 1 continuing to the ends with Lightener 2.
Step 4
Continue the same process on the opposite side. Develop for up to 20-45 minutes. Rinse and finish with Fibre Clinix Vibrancy Post Lightening service.
Step 5
Apply the Toner with a bottle applicator. Develop for 20 minutes, rinse with tepid water until the water runs clear.

The main difference is the results you'd like to achieve. The IGORA ROYAL Highlifts, for instance, lifts the natural hair colour up to 5 levels, upgrading natural blondes by working with the natural pigment. The IGORA VARIO BLOND Lightener, on the other hand, achieves maximum lift and it's suitable for all bases, removing both artificial and natural pigment.
IGORA ROYAL Highlifts is formulated as a lifting colouration cream, meaning it can only lift the natural pigments and it will tone at the same time. The TrueLift Complex assures a clean and clear lifting process for superior colour results. The IGORA VARIO BLOND Lightener is a bleach powder. Bleach powders are much stronger oxidisers and have a stronger lightening performance.
Schwarzkopf Bonding Technology helps to protect the bonds within the hair structure during the lifting process while maintaining the integrity of the hair. The Anti-Metal Technology captures metal ions to ensure a controlled lifting process for even colour results – this way, no additional anti-metal treatments are needed.
IGORA VARIO BLOND Plus offers up to 7 levels of lift with maximum neutralisation performance. IGORA VARIO BLOND Super Plus offers up to 8 levels of lift with high neutralisation performance.
Depending on developers used, IGORA VARIO BLOND is suitable for on- and off-scalp applications: Up to 6% | 20 Vol. developers can be used on-scalp, whereas 9% | 30 Vol. and 12% | 40 Vol. should be used off-scalp.
