Meet Danilo Bozic, LIVED-IN BLONDE Headlining Artist & Air Touch Specialist
Danilo Bozic (@danilo.bozic) is a Chicago-based colorist, AirTouch specialist and salon owner. After moving from Serbia to the United States five years ago, Danilo now specializes in AirTouch blonding, an innovative foil and blow-dry technique made famous by Russian colorist, Vladimir Sarbashev. This technique, distinguished by the use of a blow-dryer's air to section hair – rather than traditional weaving or slicing – guarantees flawless color application and retouches with each use. Danilo is at the forefront of introducing this ground-breaking approach to the United States, revolutionizing the way colorists work and enhancing the beauty industry with his expertise. Join us as we dive into his journey, the intricacies of AirTouch, and how he's adapting this method for a growing audience.
“My career began quite by accident and elevated into a passion when I moved to the USA. There, I discovered a beautiful world; a creative community and endless opportunities.”
“I began as a hairstylist to start making money, but after many years, I realised that being a hairstylist is not just a job, it’s a passion for hair. My journey evolved simply by investing my time to learn, grow and be better.”
“The connection with like-minded people – hairdressers and artists – and the ability to travel the world, making people happy and sharing a passion for hair.”
“Certainly, being part of the global BLONDME campaign for Schwarzkopf Professional in Germany is one!”
“Definitely! The quality and the huge range of colors – they are simply the best.”
“Besides the people behind Schwarzkopf Professional…it's the good and reliable products.”
“Definitely the BLONDME Detox line because it allows me to have a clean canvas to paint with my favorite BLONDME Lighteners and IGORA VIBRANCE Toners.”
“Blondes are a trend that has lasted for many years and will continue for many more years in the future. For sure, that is the BLONDME line, which is my favorite.”
“The lived-in look is definitely a trend because it is easy to maintain but still looks amazing. I love to create a soft blend using the AirTouch Technique.”
“Never stop learning and trying to create perfect hair colors!”
“Through social media and talks with other hairdressers.”
“There have been a lot of challenging situations, but I love to learn from my own mistakes, and that's my way of learning.”
“I have invested a lot in my education in the past and am still doing so. That is how I can make all of my clients happy.”
“I am honest and real with what the abilities of hair are, to create healthy and shiny color – especially with blondes. If the hair is not healthy enough, I will not try to make it blonde. I also advise clients on how to take care of it using Schwarzkopf Professional haircare products, before I start making it blonde.”
“Blonde hair is not for everyone; it’s expensive and hard to maintain. Period.”
“Definitely! Use BLONDME Shampoo and Conditioner and go for regular in-salon services like toning and glossing.”
“The hair industry goes in circles, and I think more colours like warm shades, coppers and pastels are going to be back this year.”
“I keep that separated. Creative colors are for me, freedom and being artistic. Whilst pleasing the clients is listening to their needs and making sure they are going to be happy.”
“Social media platforms are game changers for me, but also provide endless opportunities to get more clients in your chair and keep yourself busy. On my social media platform, I am real and honest, I express myself with work that I am passionate about and stand behind.”
